2000 Toyota Corolla- When I press on the gas nothing happens?

This is only happens the first time I try and drive it during the day. It just doesn't respond but then after a few tries of making it go it will eventually go.

It started doing this a few months back when the same problem occurred (but only lasted a few minutes) and then one of my fuel lines burst and I had to get that replaced.

Could the two be related or is there something else I need to check out?

Help.
 
when you turn your key to acc do you hear a whirring sound from the back if so its your fuel pump going out if not could be your fuel filter that's really dirty and its plugging OR could be your fuel injectors umm send me and email with more detail maybe i could help
