A month ago I changed from regular to synthethic oil at about 70,000 miles. Last week i hit a pothole on the side of the oil pan and I noticed the oil light from then on keeps coming on. I added more synthethic oil and after a couple days to a week the light keeps coming back on. Is it because of the synthethic oil, or the huge pot hole i hit.
The car has sat for about a week, and I have check the dip stick and the oil seems to be at the same place. The oil light never stays on it comes on and goes off, when I'm speeding it tends to go on and when I slow down it goes off and vice versa some times. How would I know if my oil sensor is bad?
