ok well..my car is a 2000 toyota celica, gt, stick shift....wen i first got it, it had 138000 miles. it would consume oil, the most recommend thing people would say is to rebuil the engine, so i did everything in the engine was replace aside from the pistons witch shouldnt be replaced if there fine, ok well its been 3 months now and it still consumes oil, compression check passed, oil pressure passed..one thing that didnt pass was one of the vacumm holes it had a small crack on it, that was also replaced, but would that be enough to consume that much oil? o and by the way in 2 weeks i would need 1 quart and a half...i dont understand where its going we openend it up internally and its fine shows no signs of it burning it. so im lost now n e ideas?

Did you replace the rings and valve guides? One of the things you have to do upon rebuilding an engine is to hone the cylinders when you install new rings. the rings take a while to seat themselves. You sure it's burning the oil and not just leaking it?

Although consuming 1.5 quarts in 2 weeks sounds like a lot, it doesn't tell us anything. How far are you driving during that 2 week span?
Are you sure the engine is burning the oil? Have you checked the tailpipe? Does it have the tell-tale signs of oil-burning ( leaves black, greasy marks on your finger )?
