2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo - Oil Loss? Where is it?

Ok I have a 2000 GR Cherokee with the V8 - 4.7 in it. High mileage 188000 take good care of it, regular oil changes. For some reason after about 500 hundred miles on an oil change I will be down a quart or more. I am losing oil but its not dripping on the ground nor leaking in the engine compartment (valve covers). My oil gauge pressure reads ok. So where is the oil going? I am not blowing black smoke nor white/blue smoke. I am not losing antifreeze. Any suggestions what is wrong? I am at a loss.
 
Well if it ain't leaking it, it could only go somewhere else. It's getting burned in the cylinders.
