Depending on the trim, the eclipse may or may not be faster. I mean both of them aren't the quickest cars to start, but put a little money/time into them and you can make them fly. Personally I would go with the eclipse if it is a gs-t, considering this has already got a little stock turbo. however, in terms of a more reliable car, I would have to rule against the eclipse and say the civic. It will most likely last you longer as it is 4 years newer and known to be more reliable already. In addition, if you wanted more speed, there are so many bolt on add-ons to the civic you cant count them all. hope this helps!
