I have 2000 Civic EX, and I recently had the head re-surfaced and replace the head gasket. I replace the timing belt as well. When I was done I open the radiator cap and turned on the car and I get a big splash of coolant, it doesn't splash everything out, just one splash and that's it. Is this normal? I didn't replace the water pump, in which i should of done also. But is that pressure normal? I left the car Idle for about 5-10 mins and then open the radiator cap again and I still get that only pressure. I check the oil, and there is no coolant in the engine, the oil is clean. I open the oil cap, and oil is fine... Does anyone know what this could be???
