2000 Ford Focus: Remote opener for trunk doesn't work?

The trunk will not open using the remote or the button on the dash.
All of the doors work well and the trunk lock work with the key.
Are there any diagnostics for the trunk latch motor?
I understand that this is a common problem with this model could anyone share their remedy with me?

i dont know this car but i will think it has to do
with lubrication so look carefully where u find
cable mouth spray or apply lube

That's weird you can probably open the backseat flaps crawl into the trnuk and pull the emergency glow in the dark thing.
