The car has given me problems in the past but I've fixed them. I got a whole new braking system a couple of weeks ago and recently got an oil change. I had to have a fuse changed because i wasnt able to use my car charger. The guy informed me that the fuse that was in my car was too big for my car and i bought the correct one. That day, I went to New York. I live in Connecticut. I stopped off to get something to eat and noticed that the engine light came on. The freaked out cause I had a 10 month old in the car and i was in another state. I shut the car off and stayed for about 30mins thinking that maybe the car needed a rest since I drove so far. I turned the car back on, light was still on, then I let it run for about 20mins. It didnt sound different at all. I started driving around the road before I got on the highway just to be on the safe side. It still ran the same. I drove all the way home with no problems what so ever. I got a new time belt...i think thats what its called...i got a new one in january of this year i believe. The only thing that concerns me about my car is the fact that every time I try to adjust the radio volume it skips either louder or softer...like I turn the knob just a little and it either blasts the music or lowers it. My friend thinks that thats why the engine light is on...something to do with the radio but the radio has been like that for a while now. I've had the car since August of 2008.
Do you think that it has something to do with the fuse? if so, if i don't get it checked out could it be danergous?
I've let the car sit outside running for about 20mins to see if it makes and weird noises but everything sounds the same....im soooo confused
