Okay, so recently (2-3 days ago) my car started to jerk while driving. I could be going up a hill or just driving normally, not super fast or slow and it will jerk. Also, the O/D light is flashing. I thought I may have hit the button by accident so I pressed the OD button and it will not turn off. It just keeps flashing. Third, sometimes it makes a humming noise. It will stop when I apply gas and go a bit faster. Can you tell me what is going on? The earliest I can take my car to the mechanic is Tuesday. But I want to be prepared with some information before handing it over. PLEASE Help....Summary is below....
2000 Ford Explorer
Roughly 108,000 miles
Last big inspection/ tuneup was 23 Jan 09
Last Oil Change 30 days ago (synthetic oil was used)
1. The O/D light is flashing
2. Car is jerking when driving
3. Humming noises every once in a while (a couple times a week) but stops when gas is applied...
