2000 Ford Explorer glove compartment light won't shut off?

I can't figure out how to turn this light off & I am afraid it will eventually wear out my battery. Anyone have a solution to this problem, other than just breaking the light? I can't seem to find a trigger that might be stuck, perhaps I am looking in the wrong place. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks...
 
How do you know it wont shut off? You must have bought those xray glasses from the comic book.
 
Push the pin in by hand and see if it goes out if it does you can loosen the two screws that hold the latch and move it back so the door will close farther in. They will come loose over time.
