2000 Dodge Ram 1500 'Brake & ABS' lights keep coming on?

On my dodge these two lights keep coming on after probably 5-10 miles of driving .. nothing appears to be wrong but they always come on at exactly the same time .. is there possibly a short?

Or is there something wrong?
Fluid is full and pads are fine .. I was asking this because a friend of mine with a 98 Dodge Ram has the same problem .. the lights just randomly come on.

I know what I'm doing, just wondeirng if this is a short of somethig.
 
lets see after you check the brake fluid and it was full i guess you also jack it up and look at all the brake pads right something wrong yes light is on thats a warning light you know and you do like to stop dont ya so why not stop guessing and have a shop look at it better than waiting for that wall or big truck to stop ya
 
its long shot on this one but take the fuse out and check the ends for corrosion on it,i had one a week ago that kept doing this and all that was wrong with it was a faulty fuse,for some reason the fuse box drawn moisture,all i done was clean where the fuse went and replaced it with a new fuse and it hasn't happened since i did this,its something to try,no guarantee,s this will be it though,good luck.
