2000 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.0L - Transmission Fluid leaks from control module?

I have a 2000 Grand Caravan 3.0L engine. Transmission fluid is leaking from Control Module of Transmission. It leaks from gap between the metal coverplate and body of the cotrol module. Mechanic says, we have to replace the module. I feel a simple sealing gasket change is required. Any opinions?
