2000 CHEROKEE SPORT 4.0L?

i cant find a leak anywhere, have replaced thermostat,cap(twice), had it flushed.ive even put a HUGE piece of cardboard, underneath the truck, while idiling, or even after being drivin long distances. have checked oil and no water is there. even out of the tail pipe is water free after first 5 minutes. BUT it still takes in 1 to 1 and half GALLONS per week. only time i saw water leak was after i filled it( radiator and overflow)and was only a little bit.( out of the overflow resivour). WHERE COULD IT BE LOOSING THE FLUID!!!!!!!JEEP CHEROKEE SPORT 4.0 L
