200 greatest guitarists in rock

No, its not that I was offended. It was admittedly a pretty hotheaded rant but that was a response to a few posts to be fair.

Everyones gonna have a differing opinion about a list like this but I guess I just dont understand how the list is conservative or boring. If anything, I think its very extensive considering its compiled entirely by the one poster.

Everytime I see Clapton I keep thinking somewhere in the world there's an office with a meraber of middle management missing with an empty ford Mondeo parked outside.

B. B. King was one of the revolutionaries that shaped the precursors to modern rock. Delta blues was probably more important to rock than anything Elvis Presley came up with. Look at the Big Four. Look at Clapton, Page, Beck, hell, Duane Allman. It was a fucking B. B. King concert he and brother Gregg attended that persuaded them to start seriously playing music.

I mean, there are other changes I would have personally made to the list, but they are chickenshit compared to the complete absence of B. B. King.

Has anyone mentioned Marty Willson-Piper from the Church, Daniel Ash from Bauhaus and Love & Rockets, Geordie from Killing Joke, and David Hidalgo from Los Lobos and Latin Playboys yet?

why does everyone focus on classical music and oldies or whatever music to be the most experiences in guitar playing? its retarded, people commonly feel that just because a band and its meraber are old that they have experience.

jesus, have you ever heard of metal?

Here's my top ten rock guitarists:

John Petrucci
Eddie Van Halen
Stevie Ray Vaughan
Gilmour
Vai
Slash
Kirk Hammett
Eric Johnson
Satriani
Randy RhoaRAB

I'm new here, I may not know so many artists/guitarists, as far as I know, Eric Clapton is the best. But he does not seem to be rock metal. Don't laugh @ me, hahaha

That's what I tell people when I ask them who do you think is the best, because they say **** like Fallout Boy, and I'm like, and they're ****, what the **** have they done for music? nothing like Ozzy, Led Zep, Van Halen have done.

People are dense these days and don't understand theology.
