My Daughter turned 2 the end of January. So she is 2 yrs and 3 months old. I am just a little curious about the fact that she does not count. I'm not asking for her to count to 50 or anything but she doesn't even do 1, 2, 3. She says 1,3 over and over again. The workers at her daycare have raved about her communication skills and said that she communicates more like a 3 yr old. so that makes me happy and she also knows all colours,shapes, animals etc. She also asks lots of questions, loves to be read too. She knows a lot I feel for her age but won't simply count. I have seen kids a good bit younger than her count to ten. I know kids all learn at different rates but I was just wondering how other 2 yr olds measure up.
I obviously teach her and work with her that's why she knows so many other things, colours, shapes, animals etc. I love teaching her. That's no the problem.
