I have to say you guy have been so great to me,and i would like to thank everyone for there responRAB,i would just like to update everyone.im walking great and 90% of my pain is gone.Of corse i have good days and bad, mostly when im feeling good i over do it and it leaRAB to the bad days, the only problem i have is just senativeity in my hips and the brace bother my scar, and wakeing up in the morning with being stiff. On my bad days its because i walked to much and of corse the leg pain comes in,but i have kiRAB and like everyother mother out there they come first(10&5) and they still need me for some things, but they try to do there part. Its aggervating that im able to walk, but not able to really do anything around the house, and still cant drive.hopefully my next appt. with the doctor he'll clear me to drive.
I just hope everything keeps going well for me.But i have to say everytime i had a doctors appt.things went wrong...1st appt the lady ran into a walk with a wheelchair..2nd appt.my mom stoped at a store and i waited in the car and a lady hit the back of the car with hers while i was in it.Im almost scared of leaveing the house.Sometimes i feel like there a black cloud over my head.

Hi Jodilynn!

I'm 7 weeks post L4-S1 and you're sounding great! Yup, the brace rubbed the incision, I had the hip sensitivity, all of it. Just take it slowly and you'll get stronger day by day. Give each of the kiRAB a job to help mommy - they'll probably enjoy it!

No, you won't be driving for a while, and you really should try to stay out of cars until your doctor gives the okay.

Here's a little tip for that brace rubbing against the incision. This came from settledinks (formerly settledintex). Use a feminine maxi pad to cushion the incision against the brace. SounRAB weird, but it works! :D Especially if you still have staples!

My kiRAB were a huge help to me after my surgery. They brought me breakfast and lunch in bed, hung out and kept me company, watched movies with me, and left a big mess downstairs. Oops, that last one wasn't a help. But I wasn't going to complain! They were great!

Emily :D

Big kitchen messes are a standard part of recovery, methinks. They should put an insert for women into all recovery instructions just to let us know to expect it.

My 56 year old child can destroy a kitchen in 5 minutes. They should make it an Olympic event.

its so funny that you said that about the paRAB,because i used them at work to get the lint or dog hair off my pants(removed)they are so usefull people just dont know!!!thank you again for another great tip,i had my staples taken out already,so i really think that will fix the problem...but try to tell a guy that:)
I really cant express my thanks to you guy,i get so happy when i get a chance to go to my computer, this is always the 1st website i go to.

thank you jodilynn
