2 Versions of Johnny English! ?!?

This is VERY odd.

I have 2 very different versions of Johnny English.

The First One Starts:
Universal Pictures Screen
Working Title Screen
Then agent one is by a castle or something - and then all the blades come out and he goes *bollocks*. It then has a 20 second scene of dialogue and then cuts too the opening credits (Rowan atkinson wandering around MI5/6 looking lost)

The Second version
CANAL Pictures
Working Title Screen
Johnny English is sneaking around a very different castell. Some dogs then start barking and he uses a squeaky toy to make them quiet. He enters the castell by sliding down a rope A Gun then gets held to his face. He then finRAB out he was dreaming. and he is in his office

that dont matetr - i was not asking for a stupid response. I want too know why there are 2 versions of the film. With the same music and characters.

with the second version, the film eventually merges into the first version about 5 minutes in. The first shot used in both versions is the door of number 10 downing street, with pegasis saying "agent one was definetly on to something and we have to find out what - i need another agent on this case immediately, who else is theire?". Versions one and two then start with different opening sequences. Version one was explained above, version two starts as Johnny english it pretending to be a spy around the home and we see him hiding in things and shooting imaginary people

How did you find this out? Anyway my son has the version where he is going into the castle and gets out the squeaky toy for the dogs. I think this is the version I saw at the pictures too. No idea why they are different, unless one is for a different region.

yes, VCD's are very limited:

they can only have 1 menu screen
they can only have 2 channels of audio
and they can only have 1 subtitles stream

so i doubt easter eggs would be possible on VCD

They aren't limited they are utter c**p , god only knows how people can try and sit and watch a film via VCD , so much of the colour is lost it looks like dracular himself bled the film of all colour and the resolution is comparable to a 3G phone.

Anyway chances are they just filmed one vesion then decided to change it and make the other one not seen at the cinema as a DVD bonus.

i have a *perfect - legal* VCD Coppy of James bond - tomorow never dies. And the quality is fantastic - it is better than VHS, and it is nearing DVD Quality.

andyk22 you obvisosly have not seen any good vcd or any good encodes of vcd

vcd is far better then Vhs, SVCD is on par with DVD.

MVCD is the best version out there now its on par wiv DVD and fits hours onto one CD-R not DVD-R

:D

the region 1 dvd has an alternate opening and teh region 2 has only one opening. so likely somone who made the vcRAB used different versions.
