2 types of suspension design (cars)............ help?

we took in college 2 types of suspension system design,,,,,,,
1- macpherson suspension
2- strut suspension

but when i search on the internet i find "macpherson strut"
i dont find each one alone,,,,, they are together

are they 1 one type or 2 combined different types?
