I know that there is at last a health screen for cardiomyopathy (a long time coming) as a breeder i have all my dogs heart scored for aortic stenosis but have up until now only been able to assess the pedigree to ensure cardiomyopathy clear. Does anyone know of anywhere in the UK that are doing the swab tests or is it just Washington DC that are doing the tests.
Secondly my middle girl had a severe reaction to wasp sting and vet suspects if ever stung in the mouth an anaphalactic reaction would most likely happen, has me a little worried as i live 30 mins from the vet. My vet said the do not do epi-pens for dogs and cannot send me home with a vial of adrenaline as this is illegal so thought of buying it from America, is this possible, do i need a vets presciption. Just want to know if it happens i have some time to get her to the vets for treatment
