hi there im new to these forum things, i had 2 faint positive first response hpt's (when i say faint i mean they were visible but not as dark as the control line) and the day after that i took a clear blue digital and that was negative. my breasts have been so tender for nearly 3 weeks and im so tired all the time. i heard that the best tests are the clear blue digital so do i go with that answer (not pregnant), any info would be great.

my period is due on the saturday 18th and i am a regular 28 days.

Regular, no one is regular. I would go to the doctor for a more accurate test. My wife took 3 test and had them all say positive and went to the doctor and she tested not pregnant. After all was said and done she was not pregnant.

If you're on a new type of OC (oral contraceptive), your breast tenderness and fatigue may be a result of that. You are within the right time period to test for pregnancy, so if two out of three show a small amount of hCG (binding hormone detected by pregnancy tests), you just might be pregnant. I would test again, and if it's darker or stays the same, I would ask a doctor.

If you followed the instructions on the test and the control line appeared as well as a pregnancy line it is very likely you are pregnant. Even if the line is very faint. The test measures a certain hormone in your urine that increases dramatically when you are pregnant. The tests will very, very rarely give a false positive if the control line appears however can give a false negaitive. I know when I first did the test the preg line appeared but it was so very faint that I wasn't sure. I did 3 tests and all were the same but I was pregnant.

Heavy, larger or tender breasts can be one of the earliest symptoms of pregnancy. I would go to the doctors to find out for sure however it sounds to me like you are!

if you have had a positive test then you are pregnant. the tests detect a hormone that is only found in pregnant women, a negative test could just mean that there wasnt enough of that hormone to give a reading, that how you can have a false negative result but not a false positive. congratulations!
