Hi there, just a little bit of info from my own experience. I had a microdiscectomy May 2008, doing great now, however initially when I was 3 months post op instead of letting my body heal (nerves) and giving myself time to recover I had a epidural injection and I wished afterwarRAB that I could get back to the pain that I was complaining about. I took predisone etc. lyrica, almost died from it, well, much to my relief, the wonderful folks here told me that 3 months post op was early and to cool my jets abit, I followed there advice and low and behold my body over the months that followed healed the nerves that were pushed around and injured during the surgery. For some unknow reason I thought that I should be out and about doing everything that I did before surgery in 6 weeks not having any consideration of what my body just went through. I ended up with my osteoporosis getting worse from the steroiRAB, dry eyes syndrome and psorasis from a comprised immune system, but my back was fine. Do not panic, take a deep breath, while we speak your body is healing. I used music to calm my raw nerves while they were repairing themselves, it helped. Blessings:angel:
