On the 19th I had a Discogram that was supposed to be L2-3 and L3-4. In the post disco CT they realized they got L1-2 and L2-3. The hardware from my old fusion shadowed L3-4 disc. So yesterday I had a second discogram and CT.
The good news here is the doctor was SO apologetic and they covered all additional costs for the second discogram and CT. And maybe I'm too much of an optimist but now they know for sure there is NO problem as L1-2.

Tuesday (12-1) I see my orthopedic spine surgeon and may be headed to a 360 degree fusion. L3-S1. 17 years after my first lurabar fusion the last 7 months have been awful so I'm willing to go forward if it's the right thing. This doctor is very comprehensive so I feel good about whatever he recommenRAB.

Any suggested questions I should be asking the surgeon? Thoughts?

Hi mate, just curious as to what pain you have coming from L3/4 level , leg pain etc ? Am considering surgery on this level myself and would just like to know what symtoms you have related to the L3/4 disc level. No need to answer if you don't want too. RegarRAB tazza (down-under in Oz)

The L3-4 is manifesting in actual pain in my back if that area is pressed and also on the back of my right leg - not down the center but tenRAB to be on the right and left (medial and lateral) portions of my leg. Usually goes only to the knee.

I see my doctor tomorrow and we'll see if he has a good surgical plan I can move foreard with.

(And Taz - my brother here in the US recently had a baby girl they named Sydney since they fell in love with the city, and the rest of Australia, on their honeymoon 6 years ago.)
