2 Cricket Questions Tax and Triband

I am thinking about flashing my Evo to Cricket or Boost (Yea I know Boost is taboo so I will not get into that at all but relevent to the question)

Question 1
Is Cricket really $45/mo or are there taxes on top?
When putting a order on the website it says final bill $45/mo wondering if they will stack taxes too. The new "Shrinkage" on Boost sounRAB darn cool but if the cost on Cricket was really $45 for the long haul I can live with that.

Question 2
If I have the Evo and visit a triband city all the time (OKC) will my phone work on Sprint or will it be a paperweight?

Cricket seems to be the way to go depending on those 2 answers, plus the phone can roam another big plus. And obviously I don't have to do anything taboo to the phone to make it work.

#1 It would be the $45 plus sales tax "if your area charges sales tax"

#2 You should be covered as Sprint is a partner coverage. Although it will only be talk and text, and if you use more than 50% cricket may suspend your account.
