hey guys ive been looking into it more n ive decided im spening 600 on sub n 400 on amp. so my question is.... what would be better to get.. im going for spl.. just want it loud!!.. 2 cheaper subs like the dd 512. 250 rms each.... or go for one big 15 like the dd 2512 750 rms? if the one 15 is the way to go.. would i be better getting the digital design or getting a
Soundstream SPLX-15
or
Kicker S15L7-D2 Solo-Baric L7 Series 15"

these are both 1000 rms..

thanks for all the input in advance cheers.
THE Orion HCCA ARE NICE! BUT THE DD 2512 IN AUS IS AROUND 600.. THE Orion HCCA 10" IS 1000 THEN GOES UP TO 15" WHICH IS 1400. THANKS FOR INPUT THOUGH

The DD is low wattage, but they do get loud, can not take much away from what DD is doing.
Kicker is garbage, they will be lucky to handle the 1000 watts rms.
Soundstream, I personally would not do those.
Have you thought about the Orion HCCA line? The 10" subs are a true 1000 watts rms, they get really low and loud, and out perform DD; the 12" get a little lower and louder and are a true 2000 watts rms; then you have the 15 which gets lower and louder yet and is a true 2000 watts rms as well. The entire HCCA line is grossly under ratted, Syndicate audio out in San Diego did a video on you tube and they threw 2500 watts at the 12" HCCA went on like that all day, they still have that sub. They put it up against the L7, W7, T2, and a couple others, none of them stood up to the HCCA. They all died, the L7 did not even make it past 3 minutes, the W7 lasted for an hour I think, but it ended up dead, either way. But look into the HCCA line.

They have the HCCA line for $349 (the 12.2, the 12.4 is less)
the 15.4 is $399 and the 15.2 is $449

okay, well to base on those sub models you mentioned:

Go for the Kicker 15" L7, you know these subs are built to be tortured and can produce really ravishing bass.

for the 12" and 15"? .....it depends, really, 15" can produce much lower bass frequency, but sometimes 12" can also produce lower than 15" because of the enclosure size.. but to get technical, 15" has greater cone surface than 12"... but if you have 2x 12" subs. you get more cone surface.. you get me? so you will do the trick on the box measurement it self.. if you can sacrifice that much space and wants it so loud, go for the 15" subs... ayt?

dont listen to the first guy. =)
