Ok. . .so i recently purchased this from an audio store. Including a ported box which includes both subs and one long opening down the middle (port) . . .04 chevy tahoe LT with bose. i am having two issues. The left subwoofer i have already replaced once because it is rattling. only the left one. . but on certain songs it will rattle and it sounds horrible. i have to turn the music down. and it will go away. i was thinking maybe the box wasnt made correctly and air is getting stuck on one side from my right speaker and pushing it in? i noticed it is on HIGHER bass notes that it does it.
second issue
sometimes after bumping it a while it smells like something is burning. electrical like wierd smell. . some say its glue burning off. some say its the voice coils getting hot and breaking in? I have the gain turned almost all the way down. . .so wanted some ideas on what that could be. . . .
