My husband and I are taking our 5 boys camping for the first time this fall. (we are in tx and any other time is just too hot. Kids ages are 9, 7, 5, 4 &1) I have no idea what i will need besides a tent and food! Can someone recomend a book or site for first time campers?
Also the local Walmart is pretty limited, they have a few 6-8 person tents, but i really wan something huge because there are so many of us. Academy didn't have much online, and neither did gander (in way of a larger tent) where can i get one of those huge 12 person bad boys??
And when it comes down to it what are the necessities, things that you wouldn't think of to bring until you need it? thanks in advance.
