Hello,
I have a 1999 Toyota Tacoma, and I would like to lift it up a little bit (but not with a body lift). I'm looking at 3 inch suspension lifts, but I don't know what I should buy. I'm hoping that whatever I get will allow me to run 33 inch tires. I currently have 31's on it. I would like to keep the lift under $400 if I can. I have found several coil spacer lifts that might work. I'll list them here:
1. http://www.suspensionconnection.com/cgi-bin/suscon/529043.html
2. http://www.4wheelparts.com/Lift-Kits-Suspensions-Shocks/Suspension-Lift-Kit.aspx?t_c=1&t_s=38&t_pt=3533&t_pl=6751&t_pn=REV425
Here's a couple other lifts that have AAL's etc:
3. http://toyteclifts.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=58695&category_id=120&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=72
4. http://toyteclifts.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=58682&category_id=120&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=72
5. http://toyteclifts.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=58696&category_id=120&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=72
How are those brands for quality?
How severely will my ride quality be affected by the spacers? I know it would be better to install bigger springs *and actually get bigger suspension to lift the truck* but I don't have that kind of budget, and I'm not going to be doing extreme off roading.
On those ToyTec lifts with the AAL's, will they lift my back end enough for 33's? or should I add some small axle blocks along with them?
On of the the ToyTec lifts it comes with OME front coils, are those worth it? Do they help lift the truck or improve ride quality enough to make it worth the trouble?
Do all of the parts necessary come with these kits, or will I be needing parts which don't come with the kits?
I briefly considered rear shackles, but decided that they might not do the trick. Or would they? If anyone has any advice/ideas/answers to these questions I would greatly appreciate them.
Thanks,
