1999 Toyota camry Hiccups?

My '99 camry hiccups on the highway occasionally. It happened twice since the last week. The hiccups last for few seconds, things return to normal after that. The mechanic says there might be bubbles in the fuel which leads to hiccups. Is this really a problem?

Did you use any cheap gas lately? Try some gas cleaner

My sister's Toyota Camry was developing some problems also. Since the car is 1999 then it is probably the "Timing Belt." All Toyota vehicles have this timing belt that must be replaced over time. This is probably the problem. This definetely will need to be fixed if this is the problem because eventually your car won't even start.
