on my mercury cougar that I bought recently from a private owner has the "Lights Out" indicator on it. The owner assured us it was nothing and we bought it because we saw that the tail and head lights were functioning. Recently someone noticed that when the brake is hit the brake light won't turn on. The tail lights and turn signals work though. We tried replacing the bulb but the one in the owner's manual (1157) wouldn't fit? but we don't think it's the bulbs now. But we know that there are 2 brake switches. One is working and getting power and the other is working but is not getting power. Could this be the problem? How do we fix it? Is there a specific fuse? If you have any Idea please don't hesitate to answer I could really use the help. Thanks
