i have a 1999 jeep grand cherokee laredo and it has what i believe is the quadra Track 4x4 system, i bought this truck a week ago and we got some heavy snow one night. i was driving and the rear wheels were spinning and 4x4 was not kicking in (its supposed to be automatic) so i called the guy i bought it from and he said i had to put the 4x4 shift knob in between the 4ALL TIME selection and the N selection, i did it and the shifter felt like it went into a dip and it was a real selection because it worked like a dream and it was locked in 4hi, im just wondering if the auto SYSTEM is broken of it its really 2wd and has a locked 4hi position i didn't know about?
1999 jeep grand cherokee quadra trac 2 ( was this an option)?
