Ok now i know this sounds retarted but im only 17 and this is my first car. a few days ago the battery was dead so me being stupid i tried changing the battery with a battery from a 2001 dodge durango well i put the battery on backwards and the horn went berserk. I took it off and put the honda battery back in but now the car wont do anything at all its completely dead but before it was making a clicking sound when i tried to start it. any idea what my dumb a** did?

charge the battery or replace it with a new one - and wire it the correct way, + is red and goes to the + always.

come back when you have a hot battery to test with, most likely you didn't damage anything because a lot of the new components have their own protection, worst case you blew a fuse or something. try with a charged battery first

there is a fuse box under the hood, take the cover off and you will find two or three big fuses with two screws holding them down. look at the top of them and you will see if there blown, replace it with the right amps. good luck

If the battery is still not charged, YOU NEED TO CHARGE IT FIRST. If you have charged it you need to start checking fuses.

if you plug the battery on backwards i can guarantee you shorted a fuse so check your fuse and all your relay wires. your main relay should be on under the driver side where the hood popper is i think you might have blew that out. Good luck
