1999 ford windstar transmission?

The ford windstar is known for transmission problems. Driving it hard doesn't help it in the long run but usually won't damage anything that wasn't going to break right away anyways.

Now young man, a car is not a toy, especially on public highways. So, unless your pushing it hard on a track, slow down. Your not as good of a driver as you think you are. It takes one moment of poor judgement on your part or someone else's part to change lives. What's the hurry anyways?

My dad uses a 1999 ford windstar for work, When i drive it sometimes i like to push it a little. we just got a new trasnmition on it and now this new one is not catching 3rd gear and is slipping when going to accerlate, Is this because i drive it hard sometimes? I drive my dads bmw 335 like that but 10 times worse and nothing is wrong with it. I'm guessing the bmw 335 is made to drive like that, but should I be taking it easy on the windstar?
Is it not good to drive any car thats not ment to be driven hard and fast?

The windstar probably needs a new transmission, or to be rebuilt. Best bet would to rebuild the transmission, because the salvage one, even if it has low mileage may be just as bad.
