Started, went to work, shut off. Tried to start at lunch, loud, rapid fire clicking from under hood near battery. Replaced solenoid in that area. nothing, AAA came out, and said my starter and alternator are fine, battery is fine. Starter solenoid is fine. The fella then suggested i try replacing the Solenoid there by the battery. *cough* The wiring all appears fine, from what little i can see, connections to the starter are clean, terminals are clean. Terminal cables could use changed.The truck is 27 miles from my house, so i would like to be able to make one trip. What are the most likely problems, I would rather buy 15 parts, and return the ones i dont need, than have to go back and forth.Im good with my hands, but never really had to work on a vehicle before. Hope to do this in the morning, but we'll see.
