Lights left on Battery died.
Went to jump and had one battery reversed. after corrected and started. When jumpers taken off I noticed no charging on my meter and was slowly dropping. after a few minutes it stalled.
What could of happened? Always charged great. When I reversed polarity could I have blown an inline fuse. Battery was charged and tested great. I checked all fuses under hood(ok) If so please tell me where ......Thanks.........Steve [email protected]

Sounds like you either fried a wire or fried the voltage regulator I'd check the wiring going to and from the battery especially going to the alternator then clean these connections with a wire brush , sandpaper and a file etc but again I suspect that you blew the voltage regulator or an in-line fuse. The wire going to the starter and the wire going to the alternator are the ones to check for the in-line fuses.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way note that the voltage regulator could have wires that are fried , melted or damaged and it could be located inside the alternator or mounted externally or it could be inside the main comp=PCM.

I agree. you should try buying alternator and seeing if that works. you should work. If not at least you know you have a new one on there. Good luck there!

Probably blew the fusible link in the charging circuit. It looks like a regular wire but has a little flag that sticks out that says fusible link. Look at each red wire and see if one has a swelled area on it or some discoloration.

Its prob the ECU, not an inline fuse....but you wanna make sure before you spend money on a ECU. but that happened to my friend, she put the cables on wrong so i changed her alternator and it still didnt work i changed the ECU and everything was fine. here is a trick. If you are handy with a wrench, find a place that does free diagnostics, or cheap ones, then find out whats really wrong, tell them you dont have the money to fix it right now, then buy the parts yourself and fix it.
