So i don't really have a lot of money and i want a truck that will last 50,000+ miles. i'm looking at a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 with 96,000 miles on it for 4,995.

and the other is

2002 Toyota Tundra SR5 with 124,000 miles on it for 6,995.

you need to get the toyota in this case,i like dodges really well but the truth is they wont out last a good toyota, your wanting one to last for a while and at 200 thousand on the toyota you,ll still be in good shape,on the dodge you will have spent some money on it to keep it going,in the long run which is what im sure your looking for the toyota will out last the dodge, its the truth and all who know vehicles know this,i know the dodge looks a lot nicer but they don't look so good when their setting in your drive way broken down,at around 150 thousand you,ll be replacing the timing gears and other things on the dodge, the toyota will be cheaper for you in the long run,i had a 84 model toyota sr-5 and when i sold it ,i had about 325 thousand miles on it and i almost got back out of it what i paid for it and i put 200 thousand on it,so you do the math on this one, good luck.
