I have a 1999 dodge durango. I noticed today when pulling some logs out of a pile, i put it in four wheel drive, low range, and when i gave it the gas, it made a horrible grinding noise. The front tire still spun but it didnt sound to good. i parked the durango and put it into four low again. It goes in no problem. With no load it doesnt grind but when its under stress there is a grinding noise coming from what i think may be the transfer case. Either that or the front hubs i dont know. It is automatic transmission with four wheel drive. It does not have manual locking hubs. Thank you any advice would help.
