I have a 1999 Chevy malibu base 2.4 L engine. A few months ago, my husband hit a deer and it did only slight damage to the front driver side. I have a list of the things that need replaced but I am stumped on one parts name. There's a black thing that holds the headlights in and it got cracked and now a headlight won't sit in there right. What is the name of this part? And, also, does anyone happen to know how much a new engine for this car would cost because my father in-law put "oil" in it and it ended up being eurithane (he's a dip) and now our engine isn't working, so I figured instead of having somebody look at it and then get a run around on what the problem is, it will be less hassel to by a new engine. I found one on a web site but it didn't list a price but there was a 10 year warrenty, so I am not looking to go to a junk yard and get an engine that who knows how long it will last for. If there is anyone out there that knows about cars, please, I would appreciate the help. Thank you!
The black thing i plastic and it's that thing that goes from headight to headlight and hold it in place...i have searched for pictures of it and possible names but nothing seems to be coming up..that housing i found out is the thing that each headlight sits in
