...glove box? I just bought a 1999 Chevy Blazer LT and now and then there is a ticking noise, identical to that of the turning signal, and it's coming from behind the glove box. And sometimes when I hit the brakes, the sound will stop until I release them. Any ideas what it could be? or how to fix it?

I found on the internet that little chards of metal grind off the inner turning signal and get caught in lubricant and cause the relay switch to act up and tick. Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks a million

I;ve seen this happen many times on chevy's,i can tell you what it is ,but not sure the right way to fix the problem,it's the main seperater door in the air vent box, i guess it has something to do with a vacuum hose, for some reason th big door is flipping ,the way i stopped them from making this noise is to block the door open with a piece of card board folded in half to stop it from flipping.

hey i have a 1995 chevy blazer and when i accelerate it would make a ticking noise as well but when i would brake it stopped now i have taken it to the mechanics and they said i might need a new motor. idk if its the same problem but this happened to me
