My father has a 1998 Toyota Corolla family car (a spare car everyone uses when need be). Well, lately the car has been knocking and shaking ALOT. When the car is accelerated (over 45 mph) the knocking stops, and the shaking isn't that bad, it would be mostly in the steering wheel. In low speeds it shakes (violently) and knocks (loudly). What could be causing this? My father said that it needs two new front tires and a balance, but would that be enough?
