I drive a 1998 Toyota Avalon XLS and the upstream(before the convertor) O2 sensor was knocked out caused my check engine light to come on. So, I disconnected the battery, plugged in the new O2 sensor and drove it for 70 miles or so and it passed inspection; however, the check engine light came on again and its the same sensor I just replaced that's causing my check engine light to come on.
I've had problems with O2 sensors in the past with previous cars, so I am familiar with the parts.
Any ideas on what would set off the O2 sensor other than the sensor itself being faulty?
TIA
Not physically knocked out of place...
