I have a 1998 Pontiac Grand AM GT with the 2.4L and a 5 speed manual transmission.I recently had to time the car because the timing chain tensionor broke.Every since then the car has made a funny ticking noise in the motor.I can't pin point the noise but it sounds like its somewhere close to the timing chain.If u give it a little gas the noise stops.I went to take off this morning and the car died.When i went to restart the car the battery seemed dead so I tried to jump the car but the same result.It would turn over a little faster but still no start.Could the car have jumped time again or is it something else?
Also the battery light and check engine light both stay on now that I can't get it to start again.I think the check engine light is on because the battery light is on.
