I bought 98 wrangler With 4.0 and auto trans. With 93k on it. I had it for 2 1/2 months And put 2k miles on it And it died out of the blue Ive pulled the plugs fan and belt off to turn it over and it will only turn over a little bit with a breaker bar. So the pistons couldn't be seized could they? What could be keeping it from turning over? Timing chain? Loose bolt somewhere? Any ideas?
I've checked the oil And it looks fine It was still 1000 miles before it was due for a change. The spark plugs were fine as well. It's just wierd because it was running fine with no wierd noises it just stopped running. I am planning to swap a 383 in but i was going to wait until after winter. Does anybody have any idea if the dealer would fix it on their dime? I paid 9k cash for it and put 2000 easy miles on it.
