Hello, I drive a 1998 Honda Civic EX coupe with a manual transmission. When driving on the highway at 60 mph in 5th gear the engine is basically at 3,000 rpm, yet I have been in other 6th gen civics with the manual transmission and they are closer to 2,500rpm or so. I feel this is the reason I am not getting as high of gas mileage. Can anyone tell me what the deal is with these high RPMs ? Tank you.
