My 98 Accord turns over but only starts after several tries. My mechanic told me immediately this is most likely due to the ignition switch so I paid him $200 to replace it. Got it back and still having the same problem. I took it back to him and now he says it is the battery (battery is not too old). He says if he puts my car on the charger it starts fine. After he replaced the ignition switch he said he started 15 times without a problem so I am having trouble trusting anything he says now. It seems strange to me that this could be a battery problem. I would think the battery would just simply work or not work and if it were bad the car would not turn over at all. I just want the opinion of someone who knows about cars since I do not know anyone personally.
