1998 chevy blazer wont reverse without giving it gas?

My car recently has this problem that when i put it in reverse it will go about 2 feet then stop. Its almost like something is physically holding it back. And when i do give it gas in reverse the car shakes violently(most of shaking seems to come from the back driver side tire but it is difficult to tell). Any ideas what is wrong?
I also noted that my oil level was a little low so i added some more oil and didnt see any leaks or obvious problems etc...
 
usually its a torch converter for something like that.. You probably have to take it to a transmission shop to get it looked at so I would start there.
 
CHECK THE TRANS FLUID LEVEL IT LOW AND WHEN YOU DO CHECK IT READ THE DIP STICK IT TELLS YOU HOW TO PROPERLY CHECK IT
