1998 cadillac deville no oil pressure in idle?

i just bought a 1998 deville and on the way home it was running with lower power then usual devilles. at first the oil light only came on and off, then started flashing constantly, then i got a message to shut down motor immediately low oil pressure. only happens in idle. any idea what it could be and the cost at an average shop?

Additional Details
i dont know if this has anything to do with it but the digital speedometer is also goin nuts with readings of 20-40 mph jumping up and down going 55-65 mph

You may not have anything wrong other than a faulty sensor or circuit, but it could be the oil sending unit isn't working properly. I would get it to a shop for diagnostics first and see how much they say it will cost to fix it, then go buy a repair manual for $25 and see if you think you can make the repairs yourself. I would start with the oil pressure sensor or look to see if any wires appear to be damaged, mice tend to like wires and if it sat for a while it could have been a nest for mice.
