1997 Toyota Camry starts fine, then does not start later, then is OK even later?

I replaced the battery on my 1997 Toyota Camry. I did this because the car was not starting w/ the previous battery. I installed the new battery and the car started fine. I drove around, took it to an oil change, and also to a car wash. The oil change took 15 min, so I assume the car was off for 15 min. The car wash took 10 min.

I took it home, turned the car off but left the electronics on for about an hour while I was doing stuff around the car. Tried to start the car but the engine wouldn't turn. Electronics and headlights were fine. I could hear clicking as well (solenoid?).

I took the key out and left the car alone for 2 hours. Came back to the car and it started OK this time. The battery is brand new, so I think I can rule out the battery. I can hear clicking, so I think the solenoid is fine. Should I start checking the starter? Any help would be appreciated.
