Our mechanic hooked his diagnostic machine up to our car and it told him that our Speed Sensor & our Knock Sensor needs replacing. He says the Speed Sensor will fix the problem of the car having issues getting out of 1st gear sometimes & a new Knock Sensor will keep the car from stalling so much while idling. The mechanic checked everything under the hood & he agrees replacing these things will fix our problems. (we have new filters, oil change, etc).
The quote for replacing the speed sensor isn't bad, but he quoted $625 to replace the Knock Sensor.
Is this something we can buy a manuel for and do ourselves? I'm scared that after spending that kind of money, the car may still have stalling issues.
