My jeep is running hot but only when I'm idling. Today for example it's 70 degrees outside, when I'm driving my temperature stays about 180 which is about normal, when I have to stop for more than a minute at a light or fast food drive through it gets warmer, about 200 degrees. I've had the thermostat changed, the water pump, radiator cap and the fan clutch and it still get hot. Last winter my heater didn't work well enough to keep me warm but was enough to keep the windows defrosted. I'm not sure what the problem is but I want to get it fixed and don't know what to tell the mechanic to do. What is the most probable problem, the radiator or the heater core? I haven't run the A/C for almost a year thinking that would cause it to heat up faster. I haven't let it run at idle for very long, usually however long the light is red. I have flushed they radiator and checked my coolant level and ratio. I really love my jeep and would like to get her feeling better. I've been running her like this for over a year and now that I have the money I want to get her fixed.
