i have a 1997 honda civic ith 131,000 miles on it the check engine light recently came on for the thermostat so i replaced that with a new one, the check engine went off , i drained that coolant and ater mixture refilled with water and it ran good and some , off and on it will some time make a presure noise from the resivor, steam blows out from the coolant resivoir , the car started to over heat today the resivoir was empty still blowing a little bit of steam so i topped the radiator off with water and filled the resivoir back up. turned the car on filled the raidiator up a little more, put the cap on , then drove it for a while ran great then i parked it and i didnt hear the steam sound or anything, I know it ill over heat again but i just dont know why i also changed the radiator cap , and the coolant resivoir can anyone tell me why this keeps on happening ???
